I’m 30+ and I’ve been rping since I was 11, so I’ve been around the block a time or two and I’m real low-drama. I work full-time, so I can be low to moderate activity, but I’m always around to chat - discord upon request..}

If I follow you, it means I've read your rules and most if not all of your info on your blog (sometimes I skim if I'm low concentration that day), and it means that I'm interested in writing with you. I like to keep a clean dash, so I will unfollow sometimes if there's excess OOC chatter being posted, if we haven't interacted after a long period and/or if I come to the conclusion that perhaps our writing wouldn't mesh.}

03  _{I keep a permanent starter call and sometimes post them and open starters just for funsies. If you don't see a starter call or open that you'd like, memes are honestly the best way to get my attention and get something started with me! I make it a point to post them consistently into my queue, and I always turn asks into threads unless you request otherwise or we do a lot of them, in which case I'll just pick a few of them instead of all. You're welcome, of course, to do the same with any I send! My one request is that you specify who you're interested in if you're a multi, even if it's just narrowing it down to a few options.}

04  _{I never really practiced mains and exclusives officially before, but let's be real, we all have our favorites so please see my mains/exclusives list. For me, mains and exclusives come about as very good friends of mine ooc with heavily plotted and beloved characters and stories. Following my blog means you'll see a lot of those people, but unless stated otherwise, seeing me writing with or plotting with another version of your character doesn't mean I won't write/plot with yours, so hit me up! Different interactions for different versions!}

05  _{Plotting is great! Not everyone is into it, and I certainly won't force it on anyone, but my IMs and discord are available for plotting if that's what you're into. In the same token, I'll gladly talk about my character if you'd like more information about him and how I play him, or if you wanna talk about yours! If you're a multi, I still request that you come to me with a few characters you're interested in, if not a full idea. I don't mind talking things through, but when you narrow down a list to a few muses you're most excited for, it really helps me get a feel for what kind of story you're looking for and where to go with ideas.}

06  _{I don't mind if you format or don't, but I only use basic aesthetic formatting myself - small text, icons and a little separator bar in most posts, and I have some banners for asks and the like. If you format to the point that your responses are difficult for me to read, that's another story, but I'm usually not too concerned with it.}

07  _{I ship chemistry, which generally means that I need time playing back and forth to build up some rapport before getting involved in a ship, so I'd prefer it if you didn't try to dive right into something before I'm ready. I like shipping, I love all kinds of relationships (platonic included) and I'll talk out pre-existing relationships so that we don't have to start from scratch on friendships, but it throws me off if our interactions IC go straight to dating when we barely know each other.}

siblings. none.notable skills. steve is scrappy and especially good in a fight if he has a weapon, improvised or intended. his hand-eye coordination is very good, as he shows off with his bat-work, but he only really cuts loose with non-human attackers. his track record against regular humans isn't as good.
abilities. can take a surprising amount of abuse, but nothing superhuman. he's a vanilla human.

03  appearance

faceclaim.  joe keeryhair.  dark brown and with an attempt to be styled and professional during the day, though it doesn’t take much to grant him a particularly fantastic bedhead look.

build.  he has an athletic build from years of sports, namely basketball and baseball, though monster hunting is becoming enough of a problem that it might be contributing.dominant hand.  right
scars.  up until the past year, he had surprisingly few, unless you counted the usual marks leftover from a childhood falling off bikes and playing outside, and a cut inside his hairline from getting hit by a ceramic plate during a fight. the upside down hit him hard on the last catastrophe and he came out of it with two starburst-esque scars on either side of his abdomen, a ring around his throat and roadrash across the backs of his biceps and his shoulderblades.

mental.  he's coped as well as one can with the horrors he's seen, and while he would be lying when he denied having nightmares or anything of the sort, he's managed to keep moving on from the initial fear and seems like he doesn't really dwell on the bad all that much once it's over.
physical. migraines brought on by multiple head injuries, though undiagnosed. it's just 'headaches'.
fears & phobias.  Being underground, at this point. Nothing good comes of it, and it's very isolating.eyesight.  he has no need for eyeglasses, though the use of sunglasses when he's heading for a migraine have become less about style and more about function. it's the giveaway.
drug use.  just otc painkillers, and occasional weed.
alcohol use. some, in social settings.
diet. Depends entirely on who's cooking.

06  rp hooks

family video.  gainful employment in a location that doesn't have (as far as he knows) russian soldiers, giant meat monsters or stupid sailor outfits. stop in and get good movie recs from robin or okay movie recs from steve.late night joyrides.  the burgundy bmw is recognizable and well-known in town, usually carting friends or kids around to work, school or the arcade, but when he's up in the middle of the night unable to sleep and he can't stand being alone in the house, he takes it out onto Hawkins' dark streets - it's possibly half just to think and half to show himself that the town is calm and quiet. there's always a weapon in the darkness on the passenger side footwell. just in case.high school.  whether as a student himself or supporting the monster squad as students after he graduated, steve's a regular around the school - picking kids up, catching basketball games and sometimes trying to talk his way out of D&D games.house party.  given his status in high school, his presence was common and often almost required at a party to make it a good one, even if he left early. his senior year, he cared a lot less but still put in the effort occasionally. after graduation, he's less likely to find himself at a high school party, but that isn't to say the other graduates his age don't ever throw parties or that he doesn't get talked into showing his face for some reason or other.

pretty damn good babysitter

From asshole jock to beloved best friend and babysitter, Steve's had a rough couple of years dealing with the Upside Down and chasing after the kids who are absolutely set on thwarting every bit of evil on either side of the tightrope. He's the first to grab a makeshift weapon and the first in every door, racking up concussions along the way. Based post S4 and not spoiler free. Steve is working at Family Video until the next catastrophe looms.

a light from the shadows shall spring

Multiple head injuries and monster-related catastrophes later, Steve's moved to Chicago with the side effects of it all for a fresh start where he's gotten a job bartending at a supernatural club, his roommate is some flavor of monster and his upstairs neighbor is a vampire. That also might be some kind of curse that was dropped on him, but he was a little too distracted to be sure.

★ occult / twenty three years old.

what you are in the dark

Pre-cursor to his Marvel verse, Steve was taken by the Entity while investigating some suspicious and possibly Upside Down - related activities near the old Hawkins National Lab with some friends. The theory seemed to have been confirmed at the very familiar sounds of a demogorgon nearby, but the fog rolling in thought differently. Interactions will take place within the Realm and post-Realm using lore from the game mixed with headcanons.

when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright

In a universe where Hawkins has a broader range of monster problems, Steve got clipped while fending off some werewolves along with the rest of the monster squad. Now to keep his secret, he has to play by the social rules he so badly wants to get away from and hope that none of the kids, or worse, Hopper figure it out.

Steve escaped a realm of nightmares after years of hope and suffering only to find that time didn't pass the same there as it did in the real world. He's landed 40 years later than he expected and has to try to make a new life for himself with a backpack full of weird artifacts and the realization that he might still have a toe in the nightmares - he's being hunted by things he thinks only he can see, and he doesn't stay dead.

Cozy with a bit of occasionally scary drama, Steve lives with his older cousin in a big house with his friends as his coven after moving away from his parents' house and town. The love spell they put on his cousin seemed like a great idea at the time, but now he's starting to think that maybe it's backfired just a little when not one, but two new loves try to enter his life.
